DALTON HANEY

Senior Pastor

Dalton was called to Lake Talquin Baptist as Senior Pastor at the beginning of 2024.

Although he grew up in a Southern Baptist household, God found and saved him in high school and radically transformed his life. When faced with several options for his future after high school, God directed him to The Baptist College of Florida where he graduated with a Pastoral Ministry degree in 2016. Further impacted with the need for ministerial education, Dalton attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky where he received a Master of Divinity degree in Apologetics in 2022.

MATTHEW BRYAN

Associate Pastor of Students

Matthew was called to serve as the Associate Pastor of Students at Lake Talquin Baptist Church in December 2024.

He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior during Middle School at a Youth Summer Camp. Initially, Matthew felt called to serve in the Military during High School. However, after speaking with recruiters, he learned that a birth defect would prevent him from enlisting. During this challenging time, he turned to God in prayer, seeking guidance for his future.

God led Matthew to the Baptist College of Florida, where he pursued and earned a degree in Music Education in 2016. Recognizing the importance of further theological education and feeling a strong calling to serve as a Youth Pastor, Matthew is now enrolled in the Master of Divinity program at the Baptist University of Florida.

In addition to his ministry, Matthew currently works as a Cyber Security Analyst for a company based in Tallahassee.
